im so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

and i dont know why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

so we had changes today... me and my comp stay in the same Ward but they parted our área. my comp got a new comp and i got a new comp.

 

my comp its from the dominican republic. he has 20 months and hes from the north west mission. he seems very pridefull, he doesnt want to walk fast and i Heard that he isnt obedient! well he got a really bad comp from all of that.  because im going to love him to death.

 

we didnt do anything special for the 4th of july. but we did sing god bless america in english. living here makes me apreciate america a lot more. 

 

we dont go on splits here. we just dont...

 

im district leader but my last president had me on the list to be a zone leader last change. but i was chosen to come to this mission. it was ordained in the pre-existence.

 

my mission president is awesome and makes a lot of money like 500,000,000 a year... he doesnt speak spanish but he is awesome!

Letter #36

So i read an amazing talk this week about gratitude. i hope all can read it and apply it in there lives. ITS AMAZING!

 

like dad always said "dont look a gift horse in the mouth"

 

we worked so hard this week and we commited 30 people to church! and no one went. i was so mad!!!  but then i started looking at all the blessings... every little thing... then i wasnt so mad and i was much happier.

 

this week im going to be trying to have the spirit as my constant companion to guide me in every moment. i want the people to feel what they dont have... aka "the holy ghost".

 

we have changes again in two weeks if i stay here in this area i will be part of another mission... our mission president will be going home the end of june. and we will get another one... and the other mission is getting a new mission president as well. ill go where the lord wants me to go.

 

my dad in the mission right now is my zone leader and it has been a blast to be working with him! usually that doesnt happen very often.

 

i love you all so much! and im greatful for every single one of you. im greatful for you letters, prayers and support. may God bless us with revelation so that we may know how to live more christlike lives...

 

lets not live below our priviledges... we are children of a heavenly father that loves us and wants to bless us. lets do all we can to win his blessings!

 

i got new shoes(boots for the rain). ill send photos next week. and my card expires or already expired this month :/

Letter #35

so this week can you send me the talk from cleon skousen "the atonement"

arrrg im getting a little frustrated because we cant bring people to church. another sunday with out anyone.  we had to people with baptismal date but they fell with dumb doubts. it made me so sad... noone understands what we understand. elder juergens says that they are "spiritually five-year olds" they dont understand...

the catholic church just lies to everyone and they believe all of it. "in the catholic church we arent forced to go everysunday." "...i believe in God and he is always with me."  "... i dont have to have a church to pray to God and worship him"

its super sad. but we arent giving up. we will not receive results until after the trail of our faith.  the lords wants to bless me but i can tell if he is trying to teach me something or if im not worthy of his blessings. i feel like potters clay or a puzzle all these things are happening but i dont understand why or i cant see what he is doing yet. or im just being hard and im not doing what the lord wants me to do.

im starting to read the new testiment and jesus the christ. every morning to learn more about him and to know his will. 

i thank you all so much for your prayers and concerns!

i love the work, and iwill fight and work until i baptise everyone here!

changes are next week :/ who knows where ill be going.

the card you can send it to the mtc i think and they send a pouch to the mission and its super safe you can call the mtc to see if you could do that.

wow hayden congratulations! keep up the good work!

 

thanks for all the emails of these people im going to start writing them one at a time when i have a chance.

 

so we had our last interview with president last week.  it was pretty amazing! he asked me if i had any questions for him and i told him that i was trying to better my relationship with my father in heaven, and so i asked how i could do it better. he told me two things "learn about the life of christ and his attributes and love his children as you want him to love you"

 

the goal in this life is to become like the savior and everything he did and we will have more success than we could ever imaging.

 

más buscad el reino de Dios y su justicia y todas estas cosas os serán añadidas.

 

i hope that we can all search for the kingdom of god and everything else will be added. its as simple as that...

 

so to do this i have been studying the attributes of christ and trying to apply them in my own life. seriously i have been worried about reaching my true potencial. i had no idea what to work for or who to become, then i thought ill just be like Christ. my true potencial is to become like christ. anyone else wanna come with me in this journey?

sorry i have no time to talk today.

my comp all week just told me that he wanted to go home.  i was his dad in the mission. but he was from guatemala and they are gong to talk to doctors to see if they can help him. i got a new comp today and that is why we cant talk alot bc we just got back to tejupilco.

so they dont have easter its just a week long of catholic holidays. its called semana santa. they do a whole bunch of different things.

sorry em we dont get close to families here because we are always working and when we eat we have one hour to eat as much as possible then we leave. we dont have time to play and know people bc we are always trying to find people that dont have the restored gosple. the members already have it.

mike sorry about your friend. the mind is so powerful. but just as faith is a seed that grows so are bad thoughts but they are like weeds that always seem faster and easier where you dont want them then they take over.  

BUT I LOVE THE BOOK OF MORMON. I LOVE IT   I LOVE IT   I LOVE IT. 

but i love you all and thanks for the talks that you send me and your thoughts i love you all a ton!

we are here in metepec for a zone activity. we are going to go play soccer and stuff.

 

so my package got here like a week before my birthday. but i didnt get it until the other day. i love the backpack and the candy but i was fasting so i couldnt eat it. and thanks for the cds. so i did the normal for my birthday... worked. there is no time for anything else.thanks for the talks that you sent me! but i have to go bc i dont have time this week.

 

if you could send me the talk "nadie es llamado a fracasar" or "no one is called to fail" you might have to look for it but it is really good. and another from gordon hinckley "dont drop the ball" it is really good and if you could send me they that would be great.

wow what a change it was...

now its a new one. im still here in tejupilco but everyone else in my district left. im here with an ex zone leader that is just amazing! he is from arlington. he has two changes left in his mission so we are going to baptise the world. we will not be in the same area but we will be training two kids. we will each get our kids on thursday.

so we had interviews with president this week and it was an amazing experience.  i have such a greater love for the savior and for his atoning sacrifice... and also for the sacrament.  from now on i will never ever miss the sacrament...  maybe one day you shall hear the story. :)  just tell president hoffman how greatful i am for him and for the atonement of jesus the christ.

can someone send me the talk from bruce r mckonkie... the cleansing power of gethsemeni. it was like one of the last talks he gave before he died and it was a revelation he had.

mom in you talk just tell everyone that very very very few people are living lives worthy for the celestial kingdom.  talk about the obedience! d&c 82:10 130:20-21 to every law with out the slightest bit of gray. alma 37:13. and the joy of the saints mosiah 2 all of the chapter.

hey yall

thanks mike dad mom and ashley for your letters.

so i got ROBBED. not true... i just need a new back pack because my other one got destroyed from the sun and just time.

so dad i was thinking about what you were saying and its so true. but being here and seeing everyone, it is so sad.  i think of the talk from elder uchtdorf... living below your privileges. everyone is literally not living up to their potential. people are doing the bare minimum and they think that they are doing "alright".  i think about before my mission and think... wow if i would have died i would have been screwed... and its very true the lord wants so much more from everyone of us.

i think to my self every day... how much more does the lord want from me... i try to give more and more and more. i love repentance.

i dont know if you sent me the package yet but if you could find me a nice durable belt like the one i have right now that would be great.

so could you send me the talk from bruce r mckonkie? its called the el poder purificador de getsemini. the purifying power of gethsemini. please in english. i already have it in spanish.

i love the atonement more and more each day... and grace it is what helps us get over the addictions we may have. also we need to control the mind first and then the rest follows. i love section 121 it gives me strength. and amen to the priesthood of that man.

i absolutely love the book of mormon... we need to read it every day and we need to fast more often.

so i didnt see any of conference. but im excited to hear it. im going to burn cds and listen to all the sesiones.  

so in my district we have a missionary that has baptized so many people in his mission. he is known for baptiszing. and i have spent some time this week with him doing interviews and learning from him. literally i just want to baptize and i want to baptize a lot.

this week we are going to got to a pueblo and bring as many people as possible and we are going to baptise them. i love being a missionary but i want to complete with my perpose more. peter baptized 3000 others have baptized hundreds. all the really cool Prophets and Apostles talk about a time when we will baptize thousands again. im so excited and i know that you will all be receiving a lot more photos from baptisms.

Bruce R Mckonkie is my hero.

THANKS EVERYBODY FOR YOUR LETTERS!

emily- cherish the moments you have with the family(grandma jane).  wow i was so dumb not to spend more time with all the family. 

hayden- i love you man. great to hear that everything is going well.

cole y braden- wow prepare now! read you scriptures everyday and read it like a story so you kno the context as well. also read the new testiment. and all the church doctrine possible right now. share with all your friends right now! i wish i would have known more before to show all my friends the errors they were in. they cannot be save in anyother church. the mission is as hard as you make it. its up to you. the harder you mission the easier your like after. the easier the mission the harder your life after. get into habits good habits and spend the most time possible with your families read and discuss what you learn with your leaders, they will tell you so much more. the church is so true.

grandma- im growing wieght(wait... isnt it "gaining weight") anyways their are two senior couples. they are so awesome and they are working so hard. my mission president is carlos villarreal... LOOK FOR HIM IN THE APRIL CONF OF 2014...he will be in the first quorom of the seventy.

i dont have anymore time but thanks everyone for everything you do for me and thanks for your prayers.

i love the talks from speechs... and byu devotionals.

i found a couple in the house and they are sooo good.

one about setting goals and it changed my life... but i havent set any goals yet...

so the ward of tejupilco... last week we had a lot of people in the church(over 70). there are some really cool members. there is one lady that with drop everything that she has to go with us and to help us. and she isnt clingy either. she has a powerful testimony. they other day we were with an investigator, and she was testifying so hard about baptism and the importance of doing it right now! that person got baptised hahaha.  the bishop is so cool and super humble. he has thousands of books about the church and he knows so much i carried a 16g usb card(160 pesos-10 dollars) so that he would fill it up. he has a book about the pictograph in abraham and what everything means...

we had another baptism!!!!!!!  his name is alfredo. he is so cool we found him on friday and he had already gone to the church so we  taught with power and authority and through the grace of christ he was touched and got baptised on sunday. he didnt want to do it but he was so happy on sunday... before and after the baptism. he is really smart and when we started talking to him he didnt even believe that much in God... but he is solid and will receive the spirit the next sunday.  

for my birthday... more music!!!! socks(nike dry fit black)!  ties... reese!

Letter #23

hey yall

so im here in tejupilco... its a tiny pueblo way far away. we got here after 5 hours of bus. we are two and a half hours from toluca... we are in the zone of metepec.

my comp is elder mata. is from monterrey. he has a lot of excitement and is going to teach me a lot.

we didnt have time yesterday bc we were traveling all day long and we got  to the house late and we didnt have time so they gave us a little time today to write.

so today i learned about thoughts.  everything begins with what we see and hear. then we depend on how long it stays there. then it goes to the heart if it stays. then it comes out of the mouth.  if it is good when it goes in it will come out good but it if its bad when it goes in then it is bad when it leaves.  thoughts are everything.

so we had another baptism on sunday. a girl that is 18 years old. she is so cool and so ready. when we taught her she felt the spirit and acted on it.  it was so amazing. we were going to baptise the family but the moms sister died and so they left. but the one daughter stayed and she got baptised.

it was a fun last change but this change we are going to baptise sooo much!!!  im going to control my thoughts so much this change to have a ton of baptisms.

Hey, so this is Ashley and I just want to apologize for not posting all of Michael's letters. Our computer has crashed so i'm sorry. Here is his latest!

hey everyone!!!

thanks dustin for the photos. your baby is very beautiful.

hey tell glenn to say hi to brooke for me when he in the mtc! also my last comp elder dominguez. his is going to mcallen tx.

dad i dont want the red van... i want a volkswagon bug! they are all over the place here... THEY ARE LIKE BUGS. it brings a whole new meaning of them.

its crazy that everyone is coming home... i dont want to yet! im not done evolving... they gave us the example of the butterfly in the cacoon and we are developing.  if there is the slightest hole in the cacoon the butterfly will die... the mission is to turn into butterflies.

if we go to the house of members we are fritos! lazy weak worthless! we are call to find "escogidos"  but it is good if the missionaries take the young men on changes.

so they are making alot of changes here in my mission. by the time i leave they are going to to have 90 mexicanos 60 americanos y 100 missioneras(girls)! crazy i know...

we baptised this week! a man that got baptised 8 years ago and never comfirmed. we found him in wednesday and got baptised on sunday.

so we had a conference of zones and  president talked about we reap what we sow... starting with thoughts and then ending with character.  we cannot do anything without first thinking about it. if we sin, its because we first thought about it. we would never sin if we never had bad thoughts. thoughts are everything... if you can this week can you send me a talk about thoughts. how to control them or how they affect us...

Letter #21

sooooo what a change we had last change. it was very difficult. but its over and now a new one!

so im hear with elder solano... from costa rica. this is his third change and seems really nice.

my last change was hard for several reasons... my comp was super prideful and always wanted to stay in peoples houses to waste time. i got after him a couple times and he would  get mad at me. "elder clark, you just dont understand yet."  i got so mad at him a couple times. but my last couple weeks i  wasnt with him because we always doing changes looking for people to interview. and i was with elder dubose from montana. he is a goofy stud and i learned a ton from his greeness. i want to be more green.  

also, i want to know the will of the lord... i want to do the exact things that he would do in every moment. i want to know where the "chosen people" are(escogidos).  because there are so many people that are ready but i cant find them. really i need to sanctify myself completely.  i want to be the missionary that god(and my mom) wants me to be. this change im going to try to read all of preach my gospel and all of the book of mormon.  i want to be a better missionary. i knew that god was putting me through the refiners fire but i didnt know that i would be in there so long.  im going to be honest but i need a lot of refining... especially from who i was before the mission.

we had a junta with our zone and it was so spiritually uplifting. and really i felt so good afterwards. we talked about love. and love for the lord. it was amazing. and i learned a ton. this change is going to be completely different im going to be searching for the voice of the lord and im going to be super obedient and because i love the lord im going to keep his commandments.

im scared im going to be the same person when i get home and that is one thing i do not want to do!  but perfect love casteth out all fear. and "if you love me keep my commandments..."

one thing i love about the scriptures is that never says that we need to work long hours or work really hard to support your family... it only says "i the lord know that ye have need for all these things. more search primarily the kingdom of God and all these things WILL be added unto you."

i love you all so much and thanks for all your prayers for me and your support. i will be a better missionary every day so that i can have a wife that is 1. rock solid, unwavering testimony and 2.blistering, smoking, retina-searing hotness... also someone who is not my sister... HAAHAH

Letter #20

So i have no time to talk i actually have to go but ill just wanted to tell all of you how much i love you and miss you all.

i had the chance to go and see the butterflies in michoacan.  it was super neat but they were sleeping.

it was so cool to see all of you for christmas.

so i have been teaching in my sleep again. like when i was in the oil field i had dreams every night about work. now im teaching lessons hahah

we have changes next week so i dont kjnow when i will get a chance to write you all next.
